Joan Frey
Scholarship Co-Chair

Joan serves as Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee, which promotes the program to our employees, reviews applications and interacts with Collier Community Foundation.

She has a BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and worked in corporate communications for 25 years, retiring from the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in 2005. During her career, she managed a staff of editors, which involved reading resumes, interviewing, and evaluating candidates, as well as hiring and firing staff. She was an executive speechwriter, wrote articles, produced a four-color magazine and employee newsletters. She also worked in marketing, organizing, and managing trade shows across the country.
 
A Bentley Resident for four years, Joan has been a tutor in our English as Second Language program. She also assumes an active role in her church.
