At The Literacy Council Gulf Coast 35-year celebration on March 28, the Bentley Village Foundation presented Dave Crawford, Director of the Council, with a 3,000 donation. In addition to the Bentley Village Foundation’s annual grant to the Council, VI at Bentley  Village residents take training to tutor employees to speak, read, and write in English. Residents also tutor those preparing for U.S. Citizenship Tests.

The theme for this year’s Council Fundraiser Drive at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point was “Literacy is Timeless.“   The Council assists over 1800 adults and children to acquire the English literacy skills and education necessary to improve their quality of life and enhance the entire community.
