Program Chair
As Program Chair, Barbara will recommend and develop new programs, assess and manage existing programs, present an annual budget to the Executive Committee, engage in outreach to the broader community, coordinate programs with the Lifestyles department, and promote and publicize Programs within our community.Â
Educated as an employee benefits paralegal and a social worker, Barbara has held positions with a consulting firm, in a law office, and with social service agencies working with issues of homelessness, unemployment, aging, and abuse. She has conducted Life Skills classes and led conversation groups to alleviate loneliness in Senior Communities. Barbara has volunteer experience with social service agencies, libraries, management boards, and women’s organizations.Â
